Being eco-friendly for us is important because as stewards of the earth, it is important that we protect the world in which we live. With this understanding, we have been very thorough in requiring all materials in our coffins to meet certain requirements when possible.
- The wood used in our coffins is local sourced and formaldehyde-free, coming from sustainable forestry sources within a 50 mile radius of our manufacturing facilities.
- The wood finishes on our coffins contain no Hazardous Air Pollutants (HAPS) and low VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds).
- Our coffin liners use a soy based foam covered in 100% cotton which allows them to meet all requirements for California 117 codes. These liners are also local sourced, being manufactured less than 25 miles from our coffin manufacturing facility.
We believe the extra effort of making sure we are conserving resources by local sourcing and using earth-friendly materials and finishes in our products is the responsible way to producing an eco nomical coffin.
